It’s finally 2018 and the beginning of an all new year. For many people as per yearly tradition, this means a new list of new year resolutions too. With that being said, January is probably the busiest and favourite time of year for gyms as many of us see the importance of keeping physically fit and hurry to kickstart our year on the right foot!

While we’re quite happy forking out money for the monthly or yearly gym membership, how many of us can say we spend an equal amount of effort keeping mentally and emotionally fit and healthy?
By now, you’ve probably heard the term digital detox being thrown around, but how important is it really?
Studies have shown that 80% of people reach for their phone within the first 15 minutes of waking up, and for the most part, we're never far from our phones. Needless to say, we spend a lot of time looking at screens which can result in a number of negative impacts on us!
So what can a digital detox do? It can be as simple as putting your phone down during meal times, or going for short walks in the park during your break without using your phone.
